Endress+Hauser is one of the most innovative companies in Switzerland. In a survey conducted by the Swiss business magazines Bilanz and PME together with the market research and data analysis company Statista, the Group specializing in measurement and automation technology ranked fifth overall and second in the electronics and industrial technology category.
“Innovation is a driver of our growth. That is why we actively promote innovation at many levels of the company,” says Dr Andreas Mayr, Chief Operating Officer and member of the Executive Board. The annual Innovators’ Meeting is an expression of Endress+Hauser’s culture of innovation. At this event, the Group honors the creativity and commitment of inventors and creates a place for meeting and exchanging ideas.
Endress+Hauser spends over seven percent of sales on research and development. More than 1,200 employees work in this area. A program encourages all employees to report inventions. Endress+Hauser awards economically significant patents and particularly creative inventors. Prizes are also awarded for process improvements and the reuse of previously developed solutions. The aim is to anchor a culture of innovation throughout the company.
The “Top innovative companies 2024” ranking lists a total of 185 companies in Switzerland that have distinguished themselves as particularly innovative. The survey looked at general innovative strength, product innovation and innovation culture. For this purpose, 8,900 employees and experts were surveyed. Data from the individual companies on the number of patents registered in Switzerland and their technological relevance as well as the strength of the patent portfolio were taken into account.
