The Endress+Hauser contribution to the Basel region’s Industry Night on Friday, 9 May 2025 is a showcase for the whole family. From 5 p.m. to midnight, our production halls, research and development labs and offices in Reinach will be open for tours. This is an opportunity for visitors to find out all about our measurement technology, discover many career opportunities, and learn why environmental protection and social responsibility play such an important role at our family-owned company.
Employees from multiple areas, including research and development, production, sales and support, will be on hand to share insights into their day-to-day work. Prospective employees will find a wealth of information on job opportunities. And young career starters will be able to discover our wide range of apprenticeship and study programs and take a tour of our training workshop. Current apprentices and students will be there to share their experiences and answer questions.
With over 17,000 employees worldwide, Endress+Hauser is both a quintessentially international company and a technology leader. At our Industry Night showcase, visitors will be able to experience our products up close and gain an understanding of their applications. For example, there will be a model apartment where they can try measuring devices out and learn what they are used for. They will even have the opportunity to conduct experiments to see if human senses are as accurate as sensors.
At our Industry Night showcase, we will be explaining how customers use our measurement technology to conserve resources, reduce energy consumption and protect the environment. We’ll also be demonstrating how we contribute to sustainability directly by generating a sizeable proportion of our electricity requirement from our own solar plants and by storing waste heat from our production facilities.
As a family-owned company, we are committed to social responsibility. In Reinach, we therefore work closely with Promonta, which is part of the Eingliederungsstätte Baselland (ESB) social and vocational integration service. At Promonta, some 60 people with various forms of disability provide assembly, electronics production and internal production logistics services for Endress+Hauser.
Endress+Hauser is on Industry Night shuttle bus route D, as are several other companies in Reinach and Arlesheim. To add to the fun, Endress+Hauser is partnering with Neoperl, Business Parc, Weleda and Felix Transport to organize a treasure hunt called 'Fuchsjagd', that will offer insights into the work done by the participating companies. Visitors who answer a quiz question correctly at each location have a chance to win great prizes.
