Endress+Hauser has been recognized as one of the most innovative companies in Switzerland for 2025. In the ranking published by Bilanz, PME and Statista, the specialist for measurement technology and automation solutions achieved the third place in the electronics and industrial technology category. Endress+Hauser also achieved a place among the top 20 overall, underlining its commitment to innovation.
The ranking, compiled by the German online statistics platform Statista in collaboration with the Swiss business magazines Bilanz and PME, assesses the innovative strength of companies in Switzerland.
The opinions of employees and innovation experts such as patent attorneys and scientists were taken into account, as they rated companies according to their product and process innovations as well as their innovation culture. PatentSight also provided data on the number and significance of patents from Swiss development departments.
Innovation is a central component of Endress+Hauser’s growth strategy. Last year, the company opened an innovation hub in Freiburg, Germany, which facilitates collaboration in a dynamic environment with institutes and research organizations, start-ups and other companies. Endress+Hauser invests around 7.2 percent of its turnover in research and development and employs over 1,300 people who are solely involved in the further development of products and technologies.
Each of the companies assessed in the study received an overall score, 80 percent of which was based on the survey results and 20 percent on the assessment of the intellectual property portfolio. The final ranking includes 185 companies in Switzerland that are highlighted as particularly innovative.
